Position Description Position Overview: Key IR position responsible for summarizing information and analytics about the industry, key competitors, peers, other internet companies and Expedia. Will expect the Director of IR to also serve as a financial spokesperson for the company with investors and analysts. Responsible for creating key documents for the earnings cycle including earnings release, conference call script, Q&A and more.
Responsibilities: Accumulate / analyze key company, industry and competitor data to provide insight to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders. Prepare quarterly earnings release deliverables including press release, call script, Q&A doc, and more. Partner with VP of IR to build and maintain relationships with 20+ sell side analysts and investors. Create / design / improve decks for use by IR and senior management at investor conferences. Travel to investor conferences on a regularly basis along with Sr. Mgmt to meet with investors. Take investor calls in the office on regular basis. Review SEC filings to provide feedback and input from an IR standpoint. Review company / brand press releases to ensure consistency in messaging and to check for financial and other disclosures that could impact investor perception. Maintain / update detailed financial analyst summary. Share responsibility with VP of IR for preparation and distribution of the weekly IR newsletter.
Qualifications: Finance / accounting background prefered. Bachelor's degree in Business / Finance / Accounting. MBA a plus. Experience in investors relations very helpful (but not required). If not, demonstrated ability to communicate well (both written and verbal).
Work Experience and Education Guidelines: At least five years experience in finance and / or accounting for a publicly traded company. Experience in communications helpful.
