The position is one of the 2 Directors reporting to the ANZ VP LFO for ICSS
The position is responsible for LFO support to 2 of the Country Heads 5 direct reports (ANZ Small Business Portfolio, David Jones Strategic Alliance) and Investment optimization of the ANZ marketing and sales spend across the entire business.
INVESTMENT OPTIMIZATION The ANZ market will spend approx $80-100m p.a on marketing and sales expense across a multitude of investment categories including distribution, ATL, Co-brands, partnerships, membership rewards, customer communications, NPD and loyalty. Investments need to be optimized internally based on Strategy, executionability and financial returns to support the growth strategy of the market. As part of the International ICSS organization we need to deliver investment forecasts, insights into returns, and align on reductions or additional funds
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESS Lead Financial Officer to the VP head of the ANZ Small Business portfolio (US$4.2b of Billed Business). (Small Business is a major growth engine and strategic priority of the market and has seen significant growth and will continue to be one of the key building blocks to grow the market)
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR DAVID JONES ALLIANCE Lead Financial Officer to the VP head of the David Jones Alliance (The David Jones alliance is a retail co branded card which was launched in October 2008 with the aim to provide step function growth within the market and test the concept of a retail Co brand for International. The contractual construct is complicated and position also involves multiple touch points with the alliance partners David Jones. David Jones is a strategic building block for future growth and currently represents 50% of total market acquisition volumes)
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
INVESTMENT OPTIMIZATION . Run the end to end Investment Forecast process liasing with CARM, ICSS HQ and LOB heads . Provide executive insights around movements of funds, level of returns, performance of key initiatives to GM & LFO . Provide recommendations of investment trade-offs, disinvestment and optimization of opportunities to GM & LFO
SBS & DAVID JONES . Ensure respective business heads have clear insights into results performance, business trends, plan, forecast and risk and opportunities to the business . Work with business partner & team to provide key inputs into the periodic forecasts . Ensure business partner has clear insights into product margins, deal profitability and financial drivers of the business . Partner with business head in financial evaluation and partner negotiation for key Vertical deals . Provide input into deal structure and contractual constructs . Negotiate with key external partners in contractual renewals, proposed contractual changes and product repositioning Required Qualifications SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO DO THIS ROLE .
