Job Title Director - Investment Accounting and Reporting Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities . Develop/coordinate executive management and Board level reporting and analysis for the consolidated portfolio of investments. . Responsible for consolidated investment footnote disclosures and the analysis and coordination of the investment reporting for the Annual Report. . Coordinate investment reporting to the various external Rating Agencies (e.g. Moody's, S&P, AM Best, etc.) . Prepare and coordinate the Investment Transaction Summary and Comparative Statement of Assets for the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors. . Ad hoc reporting on investments for executive management, business units and external inquiries. . Assist in developing and maintaining metrics to analyze changes in our investment portfolio profiles. . Supervise and provide leadership and training for accounting staff. . Review and recommend processes to enhance reporting efficiencies Job Location NY - NYC Home Office Department CONTROLLER'S DEPARTMENT Position Type Full Time AutoReqId 4152BR Required Qualifications . Bachelor's degree in Accounting. MBA and/or CPA a plus. . A minimum of 6-8 years experience in investment accounting, reporting and analysis. Knowledge of Statutory (Insurance Regulatory) accounting for investments a plus. . Demonstrated leadership ability. . Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff in a highly productive environment. . Strong interpersonal, analytical and writing skills. . Results oriented. . Ability to shift between detailed analysis and big picture problem solving. . Thrives in an environment of continuous process improvement. . Possess strong communication skills, as the candidate must effectively interact with financial contacts in other departments and business units, as well as with upper management, auditors and regulators. .Strong Excel, Word, Powerpoint skills required. . Accounting and financial systems knowledge with strong automation skills; SAP and CAMRA experience a plus. Background in developing/implementing a datawarehouse (preferably for investments) is also a plus.
