Director I/II - IT Finance
Title: Director I/II - IT Finance Location: TX-Westlake This role is responsible for managing the Financial Operations group within the Enterprise IT Finance group. Key areas of responsibility include financial and accounting management for major IT expense categories, budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, ad-hoc financial analysis, and process design and management. This role directly manages a group of 5 - 7 financial professionals and has indirect oversight of 6 - 10 finance professionals across the IT Finance groups.
Position Description
The Finance Director will run our monthly forecasting and analytic processes and also perform complex financial analysis and research which may include: process costing, multi year analytics, and contract profitability analysis. Participates in moderately complex financial analysis projects providing technical expertise and judgment. Interprets reports and communicates financial information. Provides recommendations to improve/enhance respective products and processes. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance.
Position Responsibilities
* Directly manage staff of 5 - 7 finance professionals * Manage major IT expense categories (maintenance, capital spending, communications expense, IT labor, IT purchases, etc.) representing $1B of directly managed expense. * Ensure integrity of monthly financials, periodic reporting, budget/forecast projections and financial analysis. * Evaluate and improve managed processes to meet changing business needs and efficiency goals. * Establish and ensure adherence to internal controls; create and maintain process documentation. * Interface with CFO, VP Finance, Corporate and key contacts in IT Finance; develop and proactively communicate process requirements; actively manage function to achieve service level agreements.
Education and Experience * 7 - 10 years progressively more responsible finance experience, ideally in complex, matrix organizations. *
Bachelors degree and advanced degree required. MBA or equivalent preferred. * Leadership of forecasting and budgeting activities * MBA or like accreditation preferred * Proven leadership and results in previous roles * Solid verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of financial systems, processes, and practices * Knowledge accounting principles * Exposure to shared services delivery models * Management experience required Skills and Knowledge * Strong communication, influencing and facilitation skills, with leadership potential * Management experience in fast-paced, matrix organizations * Ability to manage across multiple groups and foster collaboration * Process management and process improvement skills * Experience with budgeting and forecasting across a large, matrix, diverse organization. * Knowledge of financial systems and management reporting issues * Experience in shared services financial delivery environments About Fidelity Investments Fidelity Investments is one of the world's largest providers of financial services.
