Director, FP&A - Cash Reporting, Planning, & Analysis
NBC Universal is now hiring an Director, FP&A - Cash Reporting, Planning, & Analysis for our New York, NY location.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ROLE PURPOSE:
Leadership role on Corporate FP&A team, reporting to the Vice President for Cash FP&A, provides the unique opportunity to obtain an in depth view/understanding of the full company cash flow and balance sheet for NBCU. Role will be responsible for the preparation of all internal cash flow analysis to be used by FP&A and Controllership. Role will have primary responsibility for preparation of internal cash flow reporting and the external cash flow statement, dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Financial Reporting. A 1-person team will support the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ownership of all day-to-day planning, pacing, and closing cycles for NBCUniversal cash flow Analysis of divisional cash flow submissions and primary divisional contact for analytical support
•Ownership of Free Cash Flow targets and company-wide roll-up/quarter close process for cash Operational ownership for NBCU Corporate cash flow planning, pacing, and analysis Preparation of Comcast internal cash flow reporting and data requests Gatekeeper for and consolidation of NBCUniversal cash flow adjustments Development and implementation of cash flow forecast/reporting tools and training to facilitate new reporting requirements
•Development of consolidated balance sheet budget/forecast package with Controllership team
•Preparation of SFAS 95 cash flow statement and support NBCUniversal and Comcast controllership for internal and external cash flow reporting
•Assist in preparation of put calculation and related financial reporting for GE where needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance and Accounting
•CPA required
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
•Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
•Must be willing to work in New York, NY
•Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
•Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
•Must be 18 years or older
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
•Big Four Public Accounting Experience preferred
•Strong Project Management Skills
•Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
•Strong Computer / Analysis Skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, & Access
•Financial Reporting Experience
•Experience with SAP Accounting / Business Warehouse Software a Plus
•Two years Industry experience Preferred
•Experience with FAS 95
