We are currently seeking a Director, Finance for the Investment Services division in our Jersey City office. In this position,as a key member of the senior team and advisor to the division President, the VP, Financewill be charged with taking the current business which is already a strong leader in its space, to the next level.

Position Summary
The primary job responsibility of this role is to support the financial planning and analysis requirements of the Investment Services Division through management of the Finance team and in partnership with the divisional and corporate leadership teams.

Job Description
Major Responsibilities

The right candidate will possess a broad knowledge of financial and operational practices and procedures and will oversee all aspects of Finance for the Investment Services division. The Vice President, Finance will have the following responsibilities:
* Provide accurate and timely IS division historical and projected financial and operational information and analysis to divisional and corporate executive management including presentation of financial results compared to plan.
* Oversight and direction for strategy, structure, policy and implementation for all Finance practices within the IS division.
* Appraisal of operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and recommendation of general operating effectiveness improvements for the division, acting as an independent advisor to the management team.
* Protect and preserve divisional and corporate assets through the application of globally consistent costing and control techniques which are in accordance with generally accepted accounting policies (GAAP) and corporate policies.
* Development of short and long-term strategic business and financial plans in partnership with the IS and Corporate leadership teams.
* In conjunction with Corporate Finance, address issues related to Credit, Treasury, Compliance and Tax as needed.
* Direct financial identification and support of IS strategic deals, such as acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, strategic alliances, joint ventures, etc. Responsible for assisting in due diligence requirements once a deal is consummated and integration activities post deal.
* Responsible for quality, effectiveness, coaching and development of the IS Finance staff and organization.
* Partner with Accounting on managing Software revenue recognition
* Analysis of portfolios managed on a client by client basis to determine an appropriate processing and servicing forecast for the full IS division.
* Analysis of contract renewals and sales projections to predict the processing and servicing revenue from the IS business unit.
* Analysis of consulting project cost of completion to properly forecast and plan consulting and other revenues.
* Assist in expense management activities necessary to meet operating income goals in light of forecasted revenues.
* Perform strategic cost analysis, such as fixed versus variable, direct versus indirect, overhead, etc. to assist in the management of the division.
* Advise management in customer pricing negotiations.
* Provide vendor management support for mission critical vendor relationships within the division.

* Exceptional general management and leadership skills, within a fast paced, business to business environment supplying technological solutions to financial services industry.
* Strong working knowledge of the financial services industry.
* Have managed a team, as a manager of 5 or more employees in the past.
* Demonstrated experience with proactive long range planning.
* Due to the unique culture of Fiserv, an executive with a high energy level who has worked in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is highly preferred.
* Proven reasoning ability, strong executive presence, excellent negotiation, influence and highly organized.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a complex business environment with capability to adapt and drive cultural transformation.

Skills Desired
Key Skills
* 10 - 15+ years relevant experience in related field required
* Strong Excel, quantitative and technical skills required. SAP experience is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills and ability to work in fast-paced & independent environments
* Proven ability in building and sustaining high performing teams
* Experience in liaising with multiple operational contacts at executive and senior management levels
* Experience working for publicly-held, US-owned, global corporation preferred.
* Ability to manage staff in multiple locations (Jersey City, NJ; Morris Plains, NJ; London UK.)
* Software revenue recognition experience preferred (SOP 97-2)

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business required.
· MBA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
