Cost and Inventory Specialist
The Cost and Inventory Specialistis responsible for facilitating and overseeing the work product of a group of off-site analysts who perform inventory accounting for all U.S. and Canadian assembly plants. The duties will include providing guidance and assisting the off-site personnel in the month-end accounting activities, monitoring development of subassembly and new part standard cost, managing billing processes, and reviewing/resolution of group mailbox requests from all plants. Additional duties include supporting multiple operating areas on accounting related issues,reviewing account reconciliations,leading Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives, participating in business process redesign/improvements, developing new processes to address integration with Fiat and special assignments as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, if no Bachelor in Finance or Accounting, must have Master's degreein Finance or Accounting • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably supporting a manufacturing environment • Experience in an IT process redesign project with a team or group where processes were streamlined and/or quality improved • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA or equivalent certification • Cost and Inventory accounting experience • SAP experience • SOX knowledge • IT background • Process redesign background • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work independently
