Cost Accountant
Job Purpose
Execution of accounting and finance related duties for ACH standard costing, inventory valuation, internal controls, and related reporting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Executes SAP product costing processes for all valuated materials.
Calculates, maintains, communicates, and budgets/forecasts the Excess & Obsolete Inventory Reserves.
Performs periodic reconciliations of General Ledger operations related accounts.
Analyzes known and potential cost changes for financial impact to business segments.
Interacts with other functional areas to obtain information necessary for updating standard costs and explaining the resulting changes.
Maintains and updates documentation of key activities as they relate to job duties.
Supports data gathering for internal and external audits.
Prepares journal entries on a periodic basis by collecting necessary data and performing analyses.
Represents interests of operations finance in working with IT and other functional areas regarding modifications or other enhancements of SAP and related processes.
10. Assists with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and research as needed.
11. Performs inventory audits in accordance with ACH inventory policy.
12. Administers the material disposition approval process (eMDF).
