CORPORATE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Our client (
Headquartered in the Tampa Bay area), a fast growing service company has created a new opportunity on their corporate team for a
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT.
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for analysis on various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports and support company internal and external audits. Assist in the preparation and reporting for public filings
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor and maintenance of the corporate accounting systems; review and upgrade as necessary to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
2. Develop external reporting procedures and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q’s and 10-K’s).
3. Analyze new accounting and reporting requirements to determine the implications on internal financial operations and external financial reporting. Perform technical research and provide technical accounting support during close processes
4. Coordinate with external auditors in executing their quarter, annual, and other review procedures including SEC filing.
5. Handle monthly and annual general ledger closing procedures, including analysis and reconciliations. Assist in preparation of monthly financial package: balance sheet/statement of cash flows. Perform transactions and process data through financial reporting tools (FRX).
6. Manage the Fixed Assets (including the process, annual inventory and performing daily transactions)
Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS in Accounting and CPA required.
- 3+ years in corporate/public accounting (Big4 Audit) experience. SEC reporting experience preferred.
- Strong system skills
