Title: Compliance Manager - Associate - Based in Dublin Location: IRL-Dublin-Dublin Compliance Manager - Associate - Based in Dublin GENERAL LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Demonstrates extensive regulatory compliance knowledge in working with a specific or specialized area within a line of business. Generally interfaces with senior and line management. Typically makes decisions independently but discusses unusual or complex issues with compliance management. TYPICALJOBRESPONSIBILITIES: * Facilitates and monitors Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance and responds to general inquiries regarding AML requirements. * Partners with management in developing, implementing and maintaining AML-related policies, procedures and controls. * Researches and promptly alerts management to new and emerging legal and regulatory requirements, and assists in developing and implementing management action plans for complying with such requirements. * Participates in, and serves as a subject matter expert at, planning meetings regarding new and expanded business activities. * Ensures the timely and effective integration of legal and regulatory requirements into business policies, procedures, controls and training. * Evaluates AML-related operational controls and assists in developing and implementing corrective actions for identified deficiencies. * Validates the effectiveness of quality assurance processes through independent compliance testing. * Monitors and reports on remedial action plan completion status. * Regularly interacts and coordinates with Corporate AML and Compliance staff in other Chase lines of business. * Reports to the Chief Compliance Officer - EU.
DESIRED BACKGROUND OR TRAINING: * Ideally, Graduate calibre or comparable work experience is required. * Professional certification as an anti-money laundering specialist (e.g., Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)®) strongly preferred. * Must possess a significant in-depth compliance, audit or legal experience working with the requirements of the Third EU AML Directive, UK Financial Services Authority (FSA), and Irish AML requirements, together with strong familiarity with the requirements of the US Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and international AML guidance and expectations, including Basel Committee recommendations.
* Prior experience working in a technology-driven, enterprise-wide AML program of an international payment services organization is desirable. * Must be a strong decision maker, with the ability to innovate, multi-task and work independently, and possess excellent, demonstrated interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and resource management skills.
