Job Description
The Corporate OFAC Office is responsible for the administration, implementation and execution of Wells Fargo s OFAC and Global Sanctions program.
This compliance manager role is responsible for managing administrative functions of the sanctions program including coordinating responses to subpoenas and other inquiries from the Office of Foreign Assets Control; applying for and maintaining licenses; ensuring consistency in OFAC reporting; preparing management reporting; reconcilement and control of seized assets; coordinating and maintaining desktop procedures, training and other aspects of program development as appropriate. He or she will be responsible for partnering with Corporate OFAC Office team members, legal and lines of business to manage these functions. This role may be asked to participate in special projects related to process enhancements, program development prompted by regulatory changes. This role will also be responsible for tracking and escalating issues, assisting with workflow changes and developing a cross training program. This position will be responsible for managing a small team.
The successful candidate will have experience with Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions, sanction screening processes, a good understanding of banking products and will be able to work across and within lines of business, legal and the Corporate OFAC Office.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years compliance experience and 3+ years management experience.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years experience in developing metrics and reporting
5+ years experience with Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions programs
5+ years experience in financial industry, or a regulatory agency or equivalent experience
Bachelors degree in accredited institution or equivalent work experience
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Ability to work across all levels of team members
Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
Demonstrated strong work ethic; ability to work independently while recognizing when communication and escalation to management team is needed.
Preferred Skills
Bachelors degree in accredited institution or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of other global sanctions programs including the European Union, Her Majesty's Treasury and United Nations.
Experience with Excel, Access databases, and the use of pivot tables, charts, graphs and tables for data reporting.
