¦ Required Experience: 8 - 10 years Job specific compensation experience that includes design and administration of incentive plans and executive compensation.
¦ Required Skills: -Extensive knowledge of Compensation to include: Variable/Incentive Compensation, Base Pay Management, Salary Administration Techniques and Modeling, Job Structure Design and Analysis -Demonstrated work experience in the following areas: -Design and Administration of Executive Compensation -Design and Administration of Short and Long-Term Incentive Plans (required) Banking Experience a plus -Solid project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple large scale projects in a cross-functional environment -Experience working with senior management, consulting on compensation related issues, soliciting feedback and support, presenting findings and making recommendations, delivering presentations, negotiating, training, etc. -Working knowledge of the general principles, practices, laws and regulations that govern the practice and application Human Resources as it relates to and impacts Compensation design and administration. - Knowledge of basic Finance and Accounting terminology, concepts, calculations and formulas -Intermediate to Advance PC skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access. Job Description: Job Summary: Provides broad-based consulting, conceptual and technical support for the development, implementation and use of compensation programs. Plays a key role in the design, implementation and management of Company-wide base salary, short and long-term incentive plans as well as other non-traditional performance award programs. Functions as a subject matter expert and technical resource, facilitator and leader in the overall administration of the company's diverse compensation programs; leading related department projects, working directly with Human Resources and the company's decentralized management teams to ensure the overall equity, efficiency, compliance and consistency of Compensation design, implementation and administration. Acts as a technical advisor and assists with the development of junior team members and overall day to day management of the Compensation Department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: ¦ Acts as a consulting partner and subject matter expert, working with Human Resources and the company's diverse and decentralized management teams to develop, design, implement, communicate and administer compensation programs that support the company's total rewards initiatives and align with the Company's overall goals and objectives; works in conjunction with HR to ensure compensation objectives of organization-wide equity, consistency and compliance are communicated, supported and practiced. ¦ Responsible for and/or participates on projects that focus on the design, development, communication and administration of the company's diverse compensation programs that include base pay management, sales compensation (commission, bonus, draws, etc.) executive compensation and other short and long-term incentive plans. Conducts market research to identify trends and best practices and incorporates findings as appropriate in the design, development and implementation of compensation plans and programs. Consults with HR, Management and project teams; provides analysis, design support, statistical and financial models to ensure cost effective and efficient development, and implementation of plans that enhance opportunities to meet business objectives, recruit and retain top talent. ¦ Works with HR teams to ensure the efficient and effective facilitation of day-to-day compensation administration which includes but is not limited to: conducting job evaluations and analysis, market analysis, salary administration, preparing financial and statistical modeling and other ad hoc reports as required. Ensures recommendations, reports and all related statistical techniques or methods used are consistent with standard compensation practices and methodology and in accordance with the Company's philosophy, rules and regulations and other governing HR regulations, guidelines, policies and practices, etc. ¦ Stays abreast of emerging trends and "best practices" related to Executive, Sales and overall Compensation practices and their impact to the company; recommends policy changes and process improvements to achieve business goals and ensure continued regulatory compliance; participates in key management activities and committees; maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility, advising HR management accordingly. ¦ Acts as a project lead or key contributor on various Compensation and/or Human Resources related projects such as: annual merit process, bonus and equity incentive awards administration and communication, department re-structuring, pay structure management, executive compensation benchmarking and proxy analysis, etc. May serve as subject matter expert, representing compensation on other key projects within the organization. ¦ Assists with the day-to-day administration of the Compensation department; provides general advice and direction (related to assignments, policies and practices, work processes, etc. within the department) to junior team members; proactively takes action required to ensure continuous customer focus and productivity; keeps management informed accordingly. ¦ Performs other duties as required
