Commercial Loan Review Specialist - Manager Risk Management - Financial Institutions Required Experience: . Minimum of 7-10 years commercial loan review experience with a bank regulatory agency, financial institution (FI) or through a bank consulting group . Loan review experience should include the following types of lending activity: commercial real estate, construction, land development, accounts receivable, inventory and working capital . Firm understanding of commercial loan structure, underwriting, collateral evaluation, cash flow analysis and associated control and approval processes . Good experience with industry accepted loan policy standards and credit administration practices . Solid ability to apply loan risk rating systems to categorize the quality of a particular loan using either regulatory risk rating definitions or those used by McGladrey clients . Ability to commute to client locations primarily in California, Nevada and Arizona . 35% to 45% of overnight travel is required . Strong project and time management skills . Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Strong analytical skills and knowledge of credit Preferred Experience: . Ability to perform less complicated operational internal audit activities for McGladrey banking clients such as note department reviews or credit process improvement reviews . Transaction support (M&A) experience . Ability to analyze and evaluate allowance for loan and lease losses (ALLL) account from both a regulatory and accounting perspective Interpersonal Skills/Characteristics . Must be willing to take part in a fast-paced, growth environment . Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of FI management including senior management, loan committees and audit committees .
