Description The incumbent is primarily responsible for the generation, underwriting and management of commercial loans. This involves marketing our credit and non-credit products to the commercial marketplace and managing those relationships. Works with RVP and Credit Officers during the underwriting and approval process. A Loan Officer supports subordinate officers and analysts with educational guidance and mentoring, while serving as a financial counselor for their commercial clients.
Essential Functions: -Develops loans, deposits and fee income with existing and prospective customers. -Possesses extensive knowledge of the customer with ability to control the relationship while providing financial expertise and guidance. -Develops relationships with centers of influence within the marketplace, promoting the TD Bank Brand. -Negotiates and underwrites loan facilities while balancing the customer's needs with TD Bank's risk profile, growth and earnings goals. -Be a team player with RVP, Senior Lender, Branch Managers and staff. -Believes in and promotes the TD Bank culture, both internally and externally. -Responsible for the total Customer relationship. -Responsible along with RVP and Market Manager for continuing education and development
Requirements: -Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance. -Five or more years of experience as a commercial lender, with significant lending authority, developing and managing commercial portfolio. -Strong verbal and written communication ability and organizational skills. -Excellent interpersonal customer service skills and must be PC literate.
