Commercial Loan Officer - Bank

Manage and develop high quality commercial banking relationships working with a diversified array of customers involved in commercial, industrial and real estate activities.  In addition, work in partnership with other bank associates to expand and refer business customers, owners and their employees to appropriate areas of the bank for other banking services.

• Foster and maintain strong banking relationships with existing customers


• Analyze the credit history of applicants and determine their loan repayment capabilities.


• Directly or in cooperation with associates, collect loans and resolve problem loans


• Prepare credit presentations for loan presentation working in cooperation with the bank’s credit department.


• Call on current business customers and prospective business customers to expand and/or obtain banking relationships with the focus on commercial and industrial businesses


• Conduct annual reviews on large credit relationships.


• Stay active in community events to increase the Bank’s visibility and provide opportunities for networking and customer contacts.


• Expand relationships with existing customers by referring customers to other internal bank partners for related services.


• Have an expert knowledge of loan structuring and documentation


• Conduct loan closings.


• Maintain expert knowledge of laws and regulations that influence commercial lending.

• Minimum of 4 years commercial credit and lending experience.  College degree preferred


• Previous experience working with credit risk analysis and loan underwriting


• Proven Business Development Skills


• Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills


• Effective computer skills.


• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


• The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
