JOB SUMMARY
Associated Bank is a diversified financial institution headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with 269 banking offices in more than 150 communities across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota. We are currently recruiting for aCommercial Banking Sales & Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide support to multiple relationship managers, lead supervisors and other Commercial Banking team members. This support includes preparing and reviewing loan and deposit documentation while working with relationship managers to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements and working directly with business customers and associates to solve problems and provide superior customer service.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following are essential job accountabilities:

1. Performs all duties in accordance with the Vision and Values of Associated Banc-Corp.

2. Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established Associated Banc-Corp credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.


3. Coordinate all aspects of required loan documentation including but not limited to documentation requests, reviewing, closing, and working with Commercial Loan Services to ensure proper documentation and maintenance while adhering to compliance guidelines. This may include complex documentation required for loan participation and SBA lending.


4. Provide general administrative support to the relationship manager to include scheduling, correspondence, and weekly/monthly reporting.

5. Provide customer/sales support to the Commercial Banking team, to include monitoring/updating the Achieving Excellence and eRefer systems and assist with preparing sales presentation materials as necessary. In addition, this may include opening customer accounts, issuing debit cards, opening CDs, and identifying cross-sales opportunities by discussing with customers as appropriate.


6. Support business and retail customers and affiliates by solving problems and complex questions to ensure superior customer service. Act as central resource area for Commercial Banking issues.

7. Correspond regularly with title insurance companies to coordinate disbursement of construction draws, final title insurance policies, letter reports, lien waivers, and satisfaction preparation.

8. Approve account overdrafts, waive fees, and close loans for business and personal accounts.

9. Use online deposit and loan systems to obtain vital customer information, open business and personal accounts, update customer profiles, issue stop payments, and process check orders.

10. Provide customer service and process daily transactions for Commercial Banking/Treasury Management customers to include deposit accounts, loan transactions, and wires.

11. Support customers, relationship managers, credit analysts, and other Commercial Banking assistants by providing a team approach to all functions of the department.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

A. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred education includes an Associate Degree or business coursework.

Special Requirements:

A. 1-3 years banking or office experience. Knowledge of commercial banking procedures and practices.

B. Preferred experience includes loan documentation knowledge.

C. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

D. A thorough knowledge of bank products and services.

E. Ability to accurately type 50 WPM.

F. Based upon both job expectations and level of knowledge and experience, may be asked to complete additional educational training. This training may include in-house or outside seminars, correspondence courses, or college and technical school classes.

G. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle in good operating condition for travel to meetings or other work sites.

H. Proficient use of computers, spreadsheets, word processing, and various database systems. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel knowledge.
