Basic Function: Select and underwrite AgMax® business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and in compliance with governmental regulations.
**Position may be filled in Manhattan, KS; West Des Moines, IA; or Gilbert, AZ** Qualifications: College degree or equivalent required plus at least one year of experience as an Underwriter or in an underwriting department or similar experience preferred. Successful completion of at least two CPCU parts within four years from date of hire; IIA General Insurance, Associate in Underwriting (AU) or Associate in Personal Insurance (API) designation required. Computer/keyboard skills as appropriate to this position. Analytical skills and decision making ability. Ability to follow instructions as well as to initiate appropriate action with minimal need for supervision. Ability to negotiate and maintain composure in stressful situations. A valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required due to travel and/or stay overnight (up to 10%). Credit Report: None required.
