As a First DataCollections Specialist, you will contact consumers by telephone to collect on their past due accounts. Maintaining a high level of ethical and professional standards, you will utilize your strong communication and people skills to work with consumers to effectively settle their delinquent debt. Utilizing a variety of tools, you will verify and obtain customer information from creditors and other sources, assuring ongoing contact by updating and maintaining customer profile information. Accurately calculate payment settlements and document consumer account files after each contact attempt. As a professional organization, all accounts are collected in compliance with the provisions of the FDCPA and FCRA.
To ensure your success, all new employees receive thorough training on collections skills and techniques, as well as, education on Federal collections laws. Job Specific Responsibilities
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year customer service or collections experience; preferably in a call center environment.
* Must be able to type a minimum 25 WPM with 95% accuracy.
* Strong skills with computer systems and the MS Office suite.
* Schedule flexibility: ability to work extended hours when there is a business need.
* Good organizational and time management skills
