Collections Trainer
General Purpose of Job:
Training Specialist conducts training and ongoing evaluations of collection staff by utilizing Training Manuals, Computer Programs by ACA International, and Evaluation Tools.

- Previous work experience in human resources, training and Collection skills.
- Experience in Recruiting and training processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures comprehension of all applicable federal and state laws by collection staff and stays current on industry practices & laws by reading industry periodicals and ACA updates.
- Facilitates training and development of collection, insurance, research, and administrative staff
- Maintains all training certifications for personnel files to ensure corporate compliance
- Directs the training and development of branch employees
- Performs routine audits of training, development, and productivity and evaluation process of collection staff during their initial 90 days and on a quarterly basis going forward.
- Coordinates Professional Collections Specialist (PCS) Certifications for all Team Leads & Supervisors
- Monitors anniversary dates to maintain schedule and timely completion of all annual training requirements including FDCPA, PTCT, HIPAA and document for their files.
- Responsible for ongoing evaluation of all training processes for possible improvement.
- Develops and delivers collections training; based on MDS training materials.
- Develops and delivers remedial collections training.
- Develops and delivers advanced collections training; with assistance of manager.
- Monitors and evaluates trainee development and provides management with detailed feedback.
- Informs management of trainee problems & concerns by creating documentation (memos) of all training related interactions with the staff and submit to managers.
- Acts as an HR field representative submits weekly payroll submission to corporate, tracks attendance of non exempt staff, creates personnel files for all new hires, handles new hire orientation and coordinates annual open enrollment w/ corporate HR and on site staff at your location

Certificates / Registrations & Education:
Completion of FDCPA, PTCT, HIPAA, FCRA, Compliance at Every Step, Stalls & Objections and certification as a Trainer Specialist from ACA International
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of HIPAA, FDCPA & FCRA laws required.
Language Skills:
Must display a strong proficiency in presentation and speaking skills
Ability to read and interpret instructional materials such as policy guides, rules and compliance manuals required
Ability to write routine reports and short correspondence and memos required
Display the ability to present ideas and speak effectively in one-on-one and group settings
Strong interpersonal traits required
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, calculate figures and percentages as they relate to American monetary values.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information and facts are available.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and schedule form
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, walk, wear a headset, use hands and fingers, talk, hear and see at close distance for duration of shift in an indoor, moderate noise level environment 40 hours weekly
