Home Equity is currently hiring a seasoned Collections Specialist for our Recovery team. A qualified Collections Specialist will have 3+ years of experience in a direct customer contact, service, collections or sales environment to include a minimum of 2+ years collections experience. This role specializes in collections areas where legal action may be necessary, including but not limited to: probate, recovery, bankruptcy, foreclosure or repossession
Key Accountabilities for this will include: - Collecting on late state Equity accounts that will require strong interpersonal skills and negotiation to mitigate loss - Assign accounts to court process and monitor according to set compliance standards - Advanced skip tracing to include developing location information about debtors for purpose of collecting past due payments - Assess and monitor delinquent accounts to create profitable collections strategies
Schedule Options: 1. Monday - Thursday: 12 PM - 9 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM; AND every third Saturday: 8AM - 4:30 PM. 2. Monday - Thursday: 2 days at 8 AM - 5 PM and 2 days at 12 PM - 9 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM; AND every third Saturday 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Corporate description: Fully qualified collector with minimum of Collector 3 level skills. Specializes in one or more collections areas in which legal action may be necessary, including but not limited to: probate, bankruptcy, foreclosure or repossession. In addition to Collector 3 level responsibilities: assigns accounts to court process, develops location information about debtors for purpose of collecting past due payments. May work on special projects.
Basic Qualifications: 3+ years experience in a direct customer contact, service, collections or sales environment including a minimum of 2+ years collections experience.
Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 yrs of experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment Strong Negotiation Skills
Preferred Skills: Real Estate Collection Experience Knowledge of Shaw and You Owe Me Post Charge-Off experience 4 years college education
