Collections Representative
Collections Representative:
Collections representatives usually work off a provided list of customers who either have a payment approaching or one that is delinquent. After getting in touch with the customer, the collections representative will make notes on when they plan to make a payment. Collections representatives will arrange new payment plans for those with past due accounts, simplifying the process and perhaps helping them to avoid late fees. In the event that a customer is prepared to pay, collections representatives must verify account information and take credit card payments over the phone.
Skills:
Collections representatives must be persistent and professional, with a thorough understanding of how to use the phone system and computer software related to the job. While they should be courteous and understanding in dealing with customers, they will also need to be assertive from time to time. Collections representatives also must be organized, analytical, flexible and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Most also must possess the ability to work well individually or as a member of a collections team.

Requirements:
Collections Representative:
