Gurtin Fixed Income Management LLC is a dynamic, growing, independent firm providing fixed income management services to high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and families. We are currently seeking a Client Service Associate to be part of our experienced and energetic Client Relations team which is focused on providing the highest level of service to the firm’s sophisticated clients and their advisors, and whose members share a commitment to quality, flexibility and professionalism. The Client Service Associate that we seek will join the team in our San Diego office, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving results, an unwavering positive attitude, and a strong willingness and desire to take ownership of an important set of firm responsibilities.
Responsibilities: • Provide “best-in-class” service to the firm’s clients which consist of ultra high net worth families and sophisticated investment advisory firms • Ensure that all client-related solutions are provided in the most professional manner and manage client information with the highest integrity • Interface with various teams within the firm – including firm management – to resolve and follow up on client requests and issues, as well as provide support on special projects, including online client portal updates, marketing material preparation, and client event organization • Manage, coordinate, and document all aspects of client paperwork including, but not limited to, new account implementation, cash movements, and account maintenance • Assist in all aspects of the distribution of client reporting, including monthly and quarterly performance reporting, quarterly newsletters and investor calls, market and credit commentary, and annual tax reports • Maintain client information using CRM applications • Act as liaison between the firm operations and custodial banks • Ensure that advisory firms are supported as they serve as intermediary between the firm and the firm’s clients • Assist in general administrative duties such as answering phones, directing phone calls, and maintaining readily accessible files • Help efficiently develop, document and maintain firm processes and procedures
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years working in a Client Service or Client Service related position. Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of client service experience in the Financial Services industry. • BA/BS with a strong academic record • Mature, innovative, self-starter willing to take ownership of areas of responsibility and successfully see tasks from start to finish • High level of professionalism, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a “client first” attitude • Ability to work independently and take direction from multiple parties simultaneously • Ability to remain detail oriented and well organized while handling multiple assignments simultaneously • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in and contribute to a fast paced team environment • Strong aptitude to learn and effectively utilize new software • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required. Proficiency in , Advent, APX and PowerPoint preferred. • Strong character references
