The CFO provides professional leadership to the overall strategic financial direction of the organization and is an active member of the senior management team. The CFO manages the Finance and Accounting Department, staffs related committees, provides financial analysis as needed and leads the annual audit process.
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the following areas of operation:Management of the following departments:* Finance and Administration* Properties Management* Management Information SystemsThe responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to Management of the following departments:Finance and Accounting: * Provides overall direction for the accounting, budgeting, tax and compliance functions and accounting staff through supervision of the Controller* Responsible for and ensures the integrity of all funds within the organizationProperties Management:* Provides overall direction for the management of all Company owned properties and supervises the Manager of Community Properties* Interfaces with management agents where applicable* Responsible for the development and monitoring of property budgets* Reviews ongoing security issues and requirements at Company owned propertiesManagement Information Systems:* Provides overall direction for the management of information systems and supervision of the Information Technology Manager* Ensures that all Company areas of operation have the MIS resources and support needed to accomplish their goals and objectivesThe skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include: * Undergraduate degree in Accounting and passed the CPA exam* 7-10 years of experience in the business and/or nonprofit sector* Masters degree in business administration is ideal* Non-Profit Experience
