Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Our client, who operates a major hospital, is seeking an experience Chief Financial Officer.  The CFO is responsible for the overall financial administration of the hospital and directing the successful financial performance of the hospital.

Responsibilities:

Provide the appropriate leaders, directors, executive team and Board of Directors the financial information, reports and communication with which to effectively manage the hospital and to give appropriate and accurate guidance.  This includes:

• General accounting functions


• Financial reporting


• Budget management


• Medical records


• Reimbursement/revenue cycle functions and information systems.


• Provide overall direction and management to the accounting and financial management staffs


• Ensure the business and financial objectives of the hospital are achieved, consistent with the policies, procedures and ethical guidelines of the hospital and corporate offices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years hospital financial management experience as a member of senior management (controller, CFO or VP of finance)


• B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Business Administration, a Master’s level degree and/or CP would be a plus


• Excellent knowledge of GAAP as it relates specifically to healthcare and hospital accounting, reimbursement and financial reporting


• Comprehensive knowledge of the acute care med surge healthcare field financial management responsibilities including effective presentation skills of financial reports and P&L statements


• Excellent budget, cost control skills, organization skills and a management style which develops and encourages excellent relationships and communication with community, the hospital administrative and medical staff.
