Chief Financial Officer Location: Bluffdale, UT Salary Range: Neg Employment Type: Full Time Description: Accountable for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of all financial activities of the business. Directs the financial planning and management to optimize sustained business growth in revenue and profit. Works under broad corporate reporting guidelines to develop, analyze, prepare, interpret, and communicate financial and key operating information in order to appraise financial results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and prior year and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business unit. Prepares and provides oversight for business unit operating budgets and P&L statements. Works to determine best practices and high priority improvements for company financial processes. Duties: ? Directs the development of short and long range financial, sales and other operating objectives and profit plans to maximize profits and increase earnings. ? Directs the financial affairs of the business unit and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules. ? Coordinates and directs the preparation of the financial plan, budget and financial forecast, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, and analyzes and reports variances. Counsels managers on performance against plan and budget. ? As a member of the executive team, develops a business plan and forecasts to estimate the future impact of decisions. ? Prepares timely and accurate operations reports for the management team to provide useful information over and above that which is found in standard financial reporting. ? Develops and monitors capital expenditure budget considering project cost, financing costs, cash flow, and return on investment. Review existing capital investments to justify ROI. ? Develops and maintains an internal control structure which insures the integrity of financial information provided to managers. ? Reviews proposed organizational changes for financial impact or risk. ? Reviews and evaluates performance on a continuing basis and establishes proper performance measures. ? Key member of management team.
Qualifications: ? At least ten years related professional-level financial experience in a growing sales organization including financial management experience. ? BA/BS in accounting or finance; MBA or Master?s in Finance preferred. ? Strong understanding of accounting and experience working with accountants. CPA license and 5 years of professional public accounting experience. ? Strong systems knowledge and analytical skills to uncover and diagnose root causes to financial problems and issues. ? Strong leader and team player. ? Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills. ? A global understanding of the competitive and operational issues facing a rapidly growing organization. ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ? Excellent understanding of business and operational issues and key business drivers. ? Strong attention to detail, hands on orientation towards analysis and decision making.
