Chief Compliance Officer - Hedge Fund
Our client is a $2 billion hedge fund with a “plain vanilla” fundamental research approach.
The company seeks a Chief Compliance officer who will be involved with a broad range of Compliance and regulatory matters. The CCO will work closely with compliance, legal and executive management professionals to provide advice, guidance, recommendations, and solutions to the wide range of compliance, legal, and regulatory matters that arise in the firm’s business.
The firm has a collegial, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The CCO will have great visibility and work intimately with executive management.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform core compliance functions - Advise on the registration of the firm with the appropriate regulatory agencies. - Advise on a full range of compliance and legal issues associated with the growing U.S. operation
- Develop, maintain, and deploy expertise in the investment management regulatory environment - Review, enhance, audit, and maintain compliance and legal programs - Continually review and improve internal marketing materials and disclosures - Keep the office current on recent compliance and legal issues, trends, and upcoming developments
- Manage a small staff of Compliance associates.
Candidate Requirements: - Prior management level Compliance experience with a hedge fund, investment management firm, regulator, or law firm. - Comfortable interfacing with executive management, regulators and business people.
Total compensation will be in the $200K to $350k range.
