Position Purpose:
RBC Capital Markets Global Fixed Income & Currencies Technology group needs a Global CAO to be responsible for managing the budgets and other administrative processes for the group. The group is globally distributed across NY, Toronto, London and a few APAC locations. The CAO will report to the Global Head of FIC Technology.
Key Accountabilities:
Experience developing budget and other administrative processes (procurement, people processes etc.) and successful track record of driving adoption of the processes by a global group
Experience managing software/hardware/vendor services/consulting services related budgeting and approval processes interfacing with IT managers and corporate functions
Experience in interfacing/partnering with business managers and senior business leaders to ensure that they make full visibility and transparency for FIC IT spend
Experience working with HR and driving people related processes within the group (e.g. new hire planning, on-boarding management, periodic reviews/appraisals etc.
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
15+ years of experience in Information Technology with good exposure to software development processes and associated people and administrative issues etc.
3+ years of experience managing large global budgets for a Capital Markets IT group, preferably for a global front-office aligned IT team
Good understanding of processes used to allocate/amortize IT related capital and expense items - between IT groups and to various business sub-groups
Ability to partner and collaborate with other IT managers from FIC Technology group, corporate finance/HR/real-estate/procurement/vendor management teams, infrastructure teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills
