Lead multidiscipline team on variety of current and emerging Chemical Biological applications. Provide technical and programmatic oversight on the management and integration of programs. Directly support the branch chief in concept, planning, and executing development of support to traditional chemical and biological customers as well as emerging state, federal and military command authorities. Manage allocation of people, resources and support to meet the varying customer requirements and lead definition of technical approach development and quality. Helps integrate individual projects into a cohesive overall program. Assists in coordination with R&D activities across DTRA. Identifies technology/program shortfalls or opportunities for accelerated progress. Support to DTRA includes Program Operating Memorandum guidance, yearly program/project plan development, and preparation of technical/programmatic reviews to the division and higher levels of DTRA.
Position Qualifications- PhD Degree in biology, physical sciences or other chemical biological field. Fifteen plus years of experience in DoD environment with a demonstrated ability to provide objective evaluation, recommend courses of action and champion improved chemical and biological development. Experience in DoD planning and programming processes as military, civilian or contractor is required. Familiarity with scientific program development, planning, programming and reporting is preferred. Excellent communication skills for interface with customers. Secret Clearance required.
