Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Controller position. The position description is as follows: SUMMARY: Responsible for overall management of accounting functions. Additional duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Manage and direct the financial activities within the property including payroll, general ledger, revenue audit, disbursements, and receipts. * Responsible for the production and accuracy of daily and monthly management reports, financial statements and other financial information. * Supervise and prepare all financial and statistical reports. * Work closely with department heads, Director of Finance, and state regulators to ensure compliance with internal controls. * Maintain and monitor fixed asset records. * Maintain general ledger and all supporting subledger. * Prepare financial information and schedules for internal and external reporting. * Responsible for timely submittal and responses to regulatory filings, issues and requests. * Recommends as to the hiring, firing, advancement, or promotions of employees. * General office administration. * Assist General Manager and Director of Finance as needed. Requirements: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in business and four to ten years related experience and/or training in public or private accounting; CPA preferred.
