Business Process Manager K
This is a first-level management position on the Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Systems Integration, Processes & Tools (SIP&T) team. This person will manage the daily direction of a small group of Multi-Skilled process Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the manufacturing and quality production system tools and processes for the South Carolina site, including both implementation, deployment, and sustaining phases. You will be responsible for coordinating with various customers across the site, both end users and management, as well as suppliers across the enterprise in both Functional Organizations as well as Information Technology and Information Technology Infrastructure groups. In addition to providing tool and process support, you will interface with executive management to represent the SIP&T organization to coordinate system outages, blockpoints, and major tool and process upgrades. Your primary job is to help stabilize the BSC site and help customers use the tools and processes effectively. You will represent the site and/or major business units at the South Carolina site. You will be expected to attend daily boardwalks with leadership and most importantly be able to consult and provide immediate help on hot tool and process issues. This will require you to have technical insight and expertise on how the 787 and the legacy fabrication production tools and processes work, as well as the standard training curricula and subject matter expert support systems and resources at BCA.
A Business Process Analyst manager typically manages employees performing activities with multiple (2 or more) manufacturing and quality disciplines. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Representative Major Tasks include:
- Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.
- Implements policies, procedures and documents to ensure consistent execution of processes within workgroup in support of Boeing and regulatory requirements. Enforces company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.
- Provides technical direction and guidance to others regarding approved processes, tools, technology and skills for own projects or processes. Ensures workgroup products or processes meet customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements. Provides approval of workgroup technical approaches, products and processes.
- Generates requirements and analyzes technical approach, statement of work, labor and deliverables for workgroup, projects or process to ensure a quality product is received. Participates in make/buy decisions and recommends source selection. Creates and executes supplier technical oversight plans for internal/external sources. Recommends disposition of supplier deliverables. Interfaces with suppliers and subcontractors for verification and validation of requirements.

Candidate should have extensive understanding of Velocity software and other manufacturing execution systems at BCA. Candidate should have experience with and detailed knowledge of 787 Production System, especially related to Velocity and Emergent Process Documents. Candidate should be an expert Velocity user and coach, and proficient with related applications. Candidate should have experience with tool and process development, including IPST script writing and testing. Knowledge of DCAC-based systems like CAPP, NCM and OWI tools extremely valuable, but not required. Candidate must be able to work under extreme pressure while solving complex technical problems. Candidate should be familiar with Boeing process documentation and must be able to show and teach why things work the way they do, not just how. Candidate must be patient, comfortable, and have a proven track record of success working with diverse individuals and groups. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure.
