Posting Description Purpose: To optimize the performance of business operations (money, materials, and people) by analyzing current, and predicting future performance. * Identifies and assesses business strategies and opportunities and develop appropriate analytical approaches * Analyzes the most complex problems that have significant company &/or department impact * Uses the most complex analytical tools and/or models, etc. * Ability to communicate complex technical material, and/or abstract concepts, to non-technical audiences in clear and useful language * Strong negotiation and influencing skills to enable convergence of viewpoints * Business operations subject matter expert * Advisor of initiatives to senior management * Leads the largest/most complex multidisciplinary projects & initiatives of significant business risk & impact in accordance with Navy Federal's PPM standards * Facilitates implementations and ROI across the organization * Organizes and facilitates training of analysts
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Advanced degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience. * Extensive experience in and knowledge of depository institution financial management. * Extensive experience managing cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects of the highest complexity. * Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including the most advanced statistical methods and modeling. * Proficiency in the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, and related analytical tools including forecasting and cost-benefit analysis. * Extensive experience managing projects which involve organization, holding strategy and status meetings, planning and directing the work of participants. * Skill in interpreting regulations, instructions, procedures and policies. * Highly developed communication skills including preparing and presenting results, findings and alternatives and influencing management decision making based on the best available data.
Additional Expertise: * Thorough knowledge of, and extensive experience with, credit union or retail banking operations.
