JOB SUMMARY
Under functional guidance, reviews system generated reports regarding customer accounts to determine suspicious activity. Assists in communication, investigation, and dissemination of information concerning Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML). Acts as a front-line contact with both internal and external customers; serves as a technical resource involving BSA and AML issues; conducts account research, review and monitoring.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following are essential job accountabilities:
1. Analyze complex financial transactions utilizing a wide variety of systems, databases, applications, and reports to identify unusual account activity among Associated account holders.
2. Document all findings in centralized case management system, create individual case folders, and forward all supporting documentation to Senior Analyst and/or BSA Officer on cases requiring additional investigation.
3. Manage the Customer Identification Program. Generate daily and weekly reports for regional management regarding Customer Identification Program.
4. Acts as a front-line technical resource for internal and external customers, including but not limited to, Facilities, Human Resources, Corporate Trainers, and managers, on all matters pertaining to BSA and AML.
5. Identify and monitor MSB's (Money Service Businesses) to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering laws.
6. Prepare and up-date exemption folders for Phase I and Phase II customers. Gather necessary documentation to support the exemption status and review accounts for suspicious activity.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: 60 post-high school credits in Business or related field
Preferred Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years security, banking, compliance or audit related experience
Preferred Experience: 5-7 or more years of security, banking, compliance, BSA, AML, Audit, account monitoring experience or related experience
Math: Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and simple percentages.
Written Communication: Ability to write an investigative report and communicate clearly in order to draw accurate conclusions
Skills - Machine: Ability to use basic office equipment
Problem-Solving/Analysis: Strong analytical skills required, ability to problem solve by gathering necessary account data, conduct investigation, review and analyze to define the problem, locate its source, and develop and recommend solutions.
Impact of Decisions: Decisions will have a considerable effect on associate and customer relations.
Independent Action/Guidance Received: Ability to act independently and receive only general guidance. Self-reliant with the ability to self-initiate activity.
Associate Management Responsibility: Ability to lead/coordinate the work of other associates or team members. Most of the time is spent performing work similar to that performed by the associates whose activities are coordinated.
Internal and External Contacts: Exchange information and refer directors, managers, employees, customers, vendors, governmental agencies, and attorneys to the property Security Department representative.
