Provide an atmosphere of learning and development for employees. Acts as the single point of contact for local hotel and convention center equipment rentals.
Key Job Responsibilities (Weight %) Financial Management Manage an efficient and profitable Rental Services operation. Practice revenue maximization techniques & cost control, in accordance with company standard operating procedures. Research, understand and act upon the location's market position. Develop annual budgets and prepare job costing for all shows.
Organizational and Change Leadership Support, sponsor and execute all company initiatives. Ensure location commits to appropriate business practices. Communicate the vision, goals and objectives of the organization to staff clearly and frequently. Enlist the support of the team by demonstrating through actions a personal commitment to positive change.
People Development Manage employee performance, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing levels and facilitate team development. Support and implement company training and development initiatives. Maintain a positive employee relations environment for all team members. Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image according to the guidelines in the Employee Guide.
Customer Relations and Sales Management Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local customers. Demonstrate examples of outstanding customer service and responsiveness. Demonstrate fundamental communication skills (features, advantages, benefits, handling objections) in all customer contacts. Prepare and present clear and persuasive proposals for new business. Conduct price comparison analysis, and determine pricing. Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of local market. Maintain an information database of all existing customers and leads/referrals.
Information Management and Reporting Use all available company data and systems to manage the business effectively. Analyze labor and sub rental management and billing compliance on an ongoing basis. Complete standard and as-needed reports accurately and on time. Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and calculate/submit payroll for the location.
Asset Management Supervise security, inventory control, transportation and maintenance of equipment (ie. audio, visual, rigging, lighting, etc.) Ensure all employees are properly trained in all areas. Make capital expenditure recommendations to Regional Vice President. Required Skills
* 3+ years of audio visual operations experience, minimum 1 year supervisory experience * AA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience * Strong written and oral communication skills Required Experience
