BOOKKEEPER (Part Time) Department/Program: Finance and Administration Worksite: SFLUM Main Office 2850 SW 27TH Avenue Miami, FL 33133 Primary Supervisor Title: Director of Finance and Administration Job Category: Part Time- Hourly Compensation: TBD Benefits: Pension after 1 year (if 1040 hours completed); Prorated Holidays/Vac./Sick Leave Position Summary: The Bookkeeper will perform support activities relating to accounting and general office functions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Bookkeeping Function (90%) Process accounts payable documents including coding invoices, entering expense accounts, writing checks, matching supporting information, mailing checks and filing paid invoices. Assist with service and grantor billings including entering information, copying billing support and filing completed bills. Prepare income and expense journal entries. Payroll support including entering and filing employee expense reimbursements, entering and filing PTO and preparing check stubs for mailing. Code and enter customer receipts and complete bank deposits. 2. Office Management Assistance (10%) Answer administrative office phone as a backup, directing calls to appropriate individuals. Other general office and bookkeeping tasks as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge: Bookkeeping, accounting techniques and procedures QuickBooks, Excel and Word General office functions Required Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize activities to meet deadlines as directed. Experience: Two to three years previous experience in bookkeeping/accounting. Education Required: Bachelors degree in related field is required. Work Direction: Position is under the supervision of Director of Finance and Administration. Work is directed by the supervisor in accordance with personnel policies and procedures.
