Benefits Administrator

Title: Benefits Administrator
Location: Ontario-Toronto
The main responsibilities of the Administrator - Group Insurance Plans are:
* Own activities related to coverage changes and employee choices (new hires, life events, beneficiaries, employment terminations, retirements, annual enrollment, etc.)
* Own activities associated with the preparation of client payroll deduction interface(s)(includes taxable benefits calculations), insurer eligibility interface(s) and premium billing report
* Own activities associated with the re-enrolment process
* Document processes
* Answer complex questions from participants
* Analyze and solve problems related to the administration of group insurance plans, and develop solutions
* Interpret and apply the provisions of the plans and the various applicable laws
* Modify systems and procedures in order to enhance the efficiency of the work methods involved
* Contribute to various special projects, including elaboration and documenting processes during the implementation of new clients
* Serve as a resource person for the client and the insurer
* Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
* College degree
* Minimum of five years experience ingroup insurance plan administration
* In-depth knowledge of MS-Office software, including Excel, Word and Access
* The following competencies: analytical ability, facility with figures, organizational skills, thoroughness, attention to detail, interpersonal communication skills, ability to work in a team, self-reliance, resourcefulness
* Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and customer service
* Excellent knowledge of English and French (spoken and written)
