Position Summary:
The BIS manger will plan, perform and manage bankruptcy and insolvency projects with the ability to multi-task between several projects. Responsibilities include developing relationships with other professionals in the insolvency & litigation community; seek management opportunities; learn the billing process for engagements involved in; be able to review and comment on work performed by lower level staff including, but not limited to, trial balances, preference analyses, cash flow projections, assessment of financial situations of companies; analysis of collateral & secured interests; draft and review reports on findings; communications; interface with parties in adversarial situations, reviewing the work of junior people on the engagement team, managing client relationships and consulting with clients in all accounting aspects related to the client and industry; mentoring and training staff; performing business development activities.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a combined six to eight years of experience in Assurance (Audit) or bankruptcy and insolvency in a CPA firm or related environment. Prior bankruptcy and insolvency experience is required. Candidates must have a general understanding of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code; Chapter 11 & Chapter 7 Procedures; the ability to independently interact with professionals in the environment.
