Main FunctionThe Equities Global MIS group is responsible for business planning, reporting, and analysis for the Equities division. We ensure that the Equities management team has the financial tools necessary to make informed business decisions. As part of the Global MIS group you will be primarily responsible for revenue reporting of the Equities division. This includes coordination of daily, weekly and monthly reporting as well as being the central point person for all revenue-related items.
Main Duties * Revenue analysis of the Global Equities Division across products & regions. * Responsible for the daily P&L consolidation of revenue and commentary preparation. * Responsible for preparing weekly financial overview for central Finance requirements and for Equities Executive Team * Assist in preparing the monthly Executive Committee?s scorecard package that includes divisional revenues, expenses, risk & capital. * Liaison between various product control areas and central Finance in regards to Firm processes and procedures. * Coordination of month end close and reconciliation of the Global Equities P&L. * Provide various monthly / quarterly analyses around each division?s performance vs. plan / forecast; provide ad hoc analysis to senior management around questions related to Equities performance. * Assist VP/Director in management/control of Global Equities hierarchy * Ad hoc projects as needed related to Global Equities revenue reporting.
Person Requirements * Location: 1301 Sixth Ave, NY * Full Time/ Part Time: Full Time * Work Schedule (i.e. shift schedules; regular business hours; etc.) Regular business hours * Bachelor?s degree plus three+ years of finance or relevant work experience * Well-organized & very detail-oriented with strong analytical skills * Product control experience a plus * Strong communication and inter-personal skills * Strong PC knowledge, particularly Excel, Word, & PowerPoint. SAP a plus. * Confident under pressure with a strong desire to succeed, ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines
