Main FunctionThe Sales Development team helps drive enhancements to Investment Representative (IR) productivity through a variety of new business development efforts. As one of the efforts, Practice Management delivers knowledge, skills and tools to enable sales teams to grow heir business. Initiatives have supported one of four primary segments along the client experience: consulting, advising, implementing and reviewing, as well as general business management. The team works closely with senior Sales Management, Strategy, and Learning & Development. A second effort relates to managing client relationships with Barclays Capital senior executives in order to maximize wallet share with internal clients and encourage referrals. Another effort relates to managing referrals between Barclays Wealth Americas (BWA) and the Investment Banking Division (IBD).

Main Duties
Responsibilities for the Market Development role include (but are not limited to):
? Develop specific initiatives to drive IR behavior and best practices
? Develop and maintain robust sales processes and integrate the Client Advisory Framework into BWA?s sales process
? Conduct analyses to drive further insights and opportunities with respect to successful sales practices
? Partner with senior Sales Management and Branch Managers to deliver ongoing enhancements and modifications to sales management processes
? Manage client segmentation strategies (e.g., Private Business Owners, Hedge Fund / Private Equity principals, private endowments, etc.)
? Implement training initiatives (working with Learning & Development) and monitor / track / analyze results
? Monitor / track / analyze business activity with internal executives
? Work closely with MD IR coverage teams, HR and senior management to provide centralized support for the effort
? Work with IR teams to bring relevant corporate finance introductions to IBD and 3rd party boutique investment firms, ensuring compliance with necessary private and public side information barriers

Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

? BS/BA degree requied.
? 6+ years of professional experience working at a financial services or consulting firm
? 3+ years of expereince with MS office(Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
? 1+ years of experience with wealth management.


Preferred Qualifications:

? Ability to structure ambiguity and effectively prioritize multiple tasks
? Extensive knowledge of the wealth management and/or corporate finance business
? Investment and product knowledge is helpful.
? Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
? Superb written and verbal communication skills
? Strong work ethic with ability to work effectively in a team environment
? Outstanding organizational skills
