Due to our consistent growth and prosperity, we are looking to fill a key supervisory role within the Internal Audit department of M&T Bank. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: · Supervising the completion of internal examinations and communicating findings and results to management. Supervise and coordinate the completion of internal audit examinations. · Responsible for the daily supervision of audit staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Review workpapers prepared by audit staff ensuring sound audit theory and compliance with the departments methodology. · Responsible for the development of audit staff and the completion of performance evaluations. · Prepare reports communicating findings and recommendations to line and senior management test work. · Participate in various special projects. Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance . · At least 4 years internal audit or public accounting audit experience. · One or more years supervisory experience. · Strong analytical and organizational skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of personnel. · Ability to work in a team environment, which accepts responsibility for team performance and completion of assignments. · Ability to travel 10% · Strong PC skills. Ideal Qualifications: · MBA · At least 1 year of bank audit experience OR at least 1 year of public accounting experience auditing the banking industry · Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or Certified Bank Auditor certification helpful
