Associate - Project Finance (Latin America Region)
Our client, a top international Banking firm, is seeking an Associate level candidate to join their Project Finance / Structured Finance team specializing in the Latin America region. The position is based in their NYC office.
Position Duties:
Identify potential credit issues by leading credit monitoring and administration of portfolio, consisting primarily of energy and project finance (infrastructure) transactions
Provide periodic internal credit reviews
Process periodic portfolio summary and action plans
Provide credit monitoring and administration (i.e., amendments, waivers, covenant control, etc.)
Produce project budget consents and ensure security package is maintained
Monitor project projections and progress
Monitor restructuring / work-outs
Act as Administrative Agent
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree
5-7 year Project Finance experience
Power, Oil, Gas and/or Infrastructure experience required
Experience at a lending institution preferred
Must be proficient at reviewing complex legal documents
Experience in North or Latin America preferred
Proven credit analysis and financial analysis skills
Attention to detail and the ability to support recommendations in writing
Ability to present to senior management and credit committees
Ability to management multiple deadlines
Proficiency with MS Excel and complex financial models
Act as a resource to junior team members
Spanish / Portuguese language skills a plus
