Job Description:
Responsibilities: The Applications Programmer Analyst will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. This position will be involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. The analyst position will also make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work and/or equivalent work experience required. Must possess 5-7 years of relevant professional work experience. Must be familiar with custom development technologies with demonstrated proficiency in Java SE, Java EE (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JMS, EJB), Java application frameworks such as Struts and Spring (or similar), XML/Web Services, SQL JavaScript, Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems. Familiarity with WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Application Server and/or Oracle WebLogic suite. Experience required with relational database technologies. Experience with the integration of complex systems and other application technologies or environments. Candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for software development and implementation. Successful candidates must have strong customer service skills, analytical skills and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
