Title: Application Developer, SAP Finapps, Corporate Technology & Risk, Mumbai Location: IND-Mumbai-Mumbai . Global Finance Technology (GFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) and others, we deliver solutions to meet the requirements of our key clients. GFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets while offering plan and build support for reporting tools.
This position is for an Application Developer with SAP SD, AR, FI, AP, FA expertise. The employee will be a key contributor to the Fin Apps Globalization and Migration projects, including. Localizations, Homelending, Highbridge Accounts Receivable/Billing projects, and Legal entity mergers, working under the direction of the Senior Configuration and Implementation Specialist. Your core responsibility will be to support the implementation of the program you are assigned to. You will work with several Business Groups to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/changes to technology applications. You will need to understand SD/AR, AP, FA business process and integration to FI/CO. You will regularly interact with and be under the supervision of the senior team members. Your responsibilities will include translating requirements into SAP SD/AR, AP, FA design and configuration, configuring the system, generating and executing applicable scenarios for functional and integration testing and working with the SAP ABAP development team to ensure that business requirement specifications are understood. In addition, you will be responsible for resolving defects and do any required implementation activities. You will also facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation. Responsibilities will include conversion, implementation and Go-Live support. Understand and comply with the Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. Position requires work mainly in US hours. Qualifications: . ?Three to five years of relevant work experience with some of the following modules: SAP SD/AR, FI AP, AR, and FA, preferably in mid to large size companies. . ?One Full Life Cycle . ?Three to five ears of experience with business/systems analysis. . ?Prior experience in mid to large size projects, and familiarity with Project Life Cycle methodology. . ?Experience with SAP version 4.6, 4.7, or ECC 6.0 in FI (AP, AR), SD, FA, either in technical project , or support role. . Experience in delivering end-to-end technology and client implementation solutions/projects . ?Solid understanding of at least two of the following processes: Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Sales and Billing, Accounts Receivable and Corporate Finance functions, Taxes and related best practices. . ?Good problem solving skills. . ?Familiarity with business processes for SAP AP workflow processes, imaging, tax processing, vendor and customer master, invoice transactions, and payment processing, or FA, AR processes. . ?Excellent documentation skills. Demonstrated experience in writing business requirements, functional specifications, and test scenarios. Proficient in writing in English language. . ?Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Highly proficient in the English language. . ?Strong team and interpersonal skills. . ?Previous experience providing training to end users or clients. . ?Ability to work under US senior leadership, willingness to learn and be trained using remote tools (sametime sessions, etc), courage to speak up and ask questions, and be proactive . . ?Ability to work under pressure in a multi-tasking environment. . ?Testing experience including script creation, execution, and defect resolution. . Testing experience with the following: o Unit, integration, regression, user acceptance (coordination), performance . Previous implementation experience with multi-currency . ?Experience with the Mercury suite of products (e.g. Quality Center) . ?Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (for analysis of files), or MS Access (preferred) . ?Experience with geographically dispersed teams. . ?B.S. or B.A. in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related field.
