The Analyst works within the UK Institutional team and reports to a more senior member of the UK Relationship Management team. The key function of the Analyst is to support the lead Russell relationship management associates in completing assignments, regular reporting and related responsibilities. A more experienced Analyst will take greater responsibility within client relationships.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
* Prepare quarterly performance report presentations; develop material from IM&R and MarComm into client deliverables.
* Deliver client-specific data/reports that support regular formal performance reporting; design new deliverables.
* Respond to ad hoc client requests.
* Act as liaison between client team and other Russell associates as required.
* Support client relationship management associates and in due course participate in client meetings.
* Supervise distribution of regular Russell deliverables e.g. Flash Reports, Quarterly Reports.
* Co-ordinate client take-on procedures and ensure databases such as SalesLogix are updated
* Provide support for internal project work.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
* Undergraduate degree required. Finance, Economics or Business preferable.
* The successful candidate will either hold the IMC or be expected to study for the IMC qualification.
* 2 years relevant experience in the financial services industry. An exceptionally talented individual may be considered with less than 2 years' relevant experience if they can demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge for this job.
* Knowledge of financial services sector, especially fund management.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Empathy with client viewpoint, and the ability to promote this within Russell.
* Professional approach in client interactions.
* Knowledge of functions within Russell.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Ability to see beyond current client servicing procedures and devise new and more effective ones.
* Tenacious attitude to problem solving.
* Good communication skills, written and verbal.
* PC literacy, in particular familiarity with Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint.
