Department Overview Financial Control Change Management is responsible for the implementation of various projects across the Financial Control function of Barclays Capital. The group is responsible for 3 broad categories of project: 1. Mandatory Financial Reporting and Regulatory Projects. 2. Process improvement and design (in order to meet efficiency and cost objectives). 3. End to end delivery of finance-wide strategic pr ojects There is very close interaction between FC Change Management and different teams within the Financial Control line function. Many projects within Financial Control also involve working closely with various groups in IT and Product Control including the design and implementation of Finance's Target Operating Model and Front to Back Integration.
Main Function The immediate need for an Analyst in FC Change Management is to work on tactical and strategic projects that encompass both regional and global Finance wide initiatives.
Main Duties 1. Contributing to the project initiation stage, when the project is defined, scoped, planned, and the business case is developed and agreed with business users. 2. Working with user representatives to determine busi ness requirements. 3. Accurately document the analysis carried out (e.g. the production of process flows, use cases and scenarios). 4. Working with IT groups to convert requirements into specification. 5. Assisting in the preparation and execution of Us er Acceptance Testing. 6. Develop and deliver user procedures and training. 7. Provide go-live and post implementation support.
Person Requirements 1. 1 to 4 years experience 2. Minimum 4-year college degree (Accounting or Finance a plus) 3. Excellent communications skills, including the ability to write clear and precise project proposals and project status reports; 4. Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization; 5. Excellent PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; 6. Familiar with MS Project and Visio; 7. Excellent analytical and business skills Experience required: 1. U.S. Regulatory Reporting requirement gathering experience.
Business analysis experience across an investment bank and / or a major consult ing firm within financial services 2. Full project lifecycle experience 3. Track record in completing business analysis assignments across both business requirements gathering and testing. 4. Experience of dealing with tactical and strategic projects 5. Familiarity with financial applications and process flow
