BlackRock’s Fixed Income team manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles. The Fixed Income team is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support several Managing Directors with administrative support.
Responsibilities
* Phone coverage and screening * Calendar and schedule management for busy Managing Directors * Travel planning through SR Travel * Meeting preparation including scheduling, material preparation, and room set up * Review, delegate, and organize all incoming mail, reports, information, and general correspondence * Maintain efficient filing and organization system * Expense report processing using Concur * Assist in recruiting activities such as interview scheduling, candidate travel, and expense reimbursement * Completion of ad hoc administrative requests and projects in a timely and thorough manner including event planning and documentation
Qualifications
* 3+ years of administrative experience * BA/BS degree * Financial services experience strongly preferred * Willing to work West coast market hours as well as availability for overtime * Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, employees, clients, candidates, and other external parties * Work independently and assume additional responsibilities as required * Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak times such as month-end; ability to prioritize and manage competing requests * Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); web skills a plus * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Careful attention to detail * Maintain strict confidentiality standards
