The role of the administrative assistant is to provide support to a team of consultants and analysts within the Health and Benefits business.
Principal duties as an administrative assistant: * Prepare correspondence, reports, invoices and presentations using tools available * Ensure the proper handling of confidential and sensitive information with a strong focus on internal compliance * Co-ordinate meeting arrangements, including scheduling, booking meeting rooms and arranging for catering services * Co-ordinate scheduled internal meetings, providing documentation where needed * Proactively manage consultants' calendars * Embrace all Mercer-specific process applications * Be familiar with invoicing processes * Process expense claims and book travel * Use conferencing technologies * Minimum five years of administrative assistant experience * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint (styles, auto-numbering within Word, track changes and mail merges) * Strong organizational skills, demonstrating keen attention to detail * Process oriented, with the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly * Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and work efficiently within teams * Ability to work individually and in a team environment * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills * Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities and flexibility to accept change * Demonstrated skill, tact and diplomacy in dealings with service areas, consultants and clients * Experience in a consulting environment preferred
