Job description: As aSpring/Summer Co-op Actuarial Analystin our Health & Benefits business, you will help in the plan design, financing, valuation of, pricing, and administration of medical, dental, life and disability programs for employees and retirees
Principal duties as a Spring/Summer Co-op Actuarial Analyst: * Collect, analyze and interpret benefit plan experience data * Analyze experience, estimate future plan costs and calculate plan prices * Assist in the development of customized pricing and valuation models * Develop awareness of benefit plan designs, cost factors and renewal processes * Value employer benefit liabilities (including accounting liabilities) under various plan design scenarios * Working towards a BA/BS degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or a related field * Commitment to achieving ASA designation * Superior analytical skills and strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) * Ability to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands * A team player with enthusiasm and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
