| Accounts Receivable Clerk Post Date: 08/23/2010 Location: Thornhill , ON Assignment: Temporary Pay Rate: $16 to $18 per hour Start Date: 08/03/2010 Industry: Food Processing Job Order Number: 512-018647 Requirements: In this Accounts Receivable role, requirements are a good understanding of basic accounting principals primarily in Accounts Receivable. Knowledge of managing the Accounts Receivable process especially regarding discrepancies and short payments is a necessary skill. Strong Excel skills are necessary and Oracle or other ERP knowledge is an asset as well. Description: Our client requires an Accounts Receivable professional for 6 month temporary assignment. The primary responsibilities for this Accounts Receivable project will be to apply payments to customer accounts. As a result you will have to identify the short payments applied by customers and then request back up from either the customer or key account managers on the short payment. You will be trained to analyze the information to determine if it is a valid short payment/deduction. If so, you will then identify the general ledger accounts to charge, send to sales for approval and enter into the accounting system. Regular correspondence by e-mail or phone with clients will also be required. All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
