Accounts Payable Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Support NorthStar Recovery Services, Inc. (NRS) Accounting/Admin department and our parent company LVI Services. This position will interface with the vendor manager(s), operations, LVI corporate (Treasurer and CFO offices), and external vendors and sub-contractors of NRS for the benefit of the company in order to develop and maintain strong business relationships both internally and externally.  This is a fast paced, exciting opportunity for an individual who has demonstrated consistent and progressive work history.

Skills/Qualifications:

• At least five years of Accounts Payable experience with construction and job costing.


• Demonstrated ability to manage and train an Accounts Payable Staff.


• Understand basic accounting functions and how they relate to job costing.


• Must be able to work independently and use good judgment.


• Must have excellent computer, verbal and written skills.

Duties:

• The key responsibilities will be to assist the Branch Controller in the daily management of the department, including resolution of accounting issues, reports for management, and ad hoc accounting projects.


• Support the Branch Controller by ensuring the Accounts Payable department runs efficiently and smoothly by assigning work load to and supervising the Accounts Payable Clerks.


• Train all new hire Accounts Payable Clerks in the NRS AP process as outlined on the AP Clerk job description, including expense reports, entering batches of invoices into the accounting system and managing vendor calls.


• Assume any other responsibilities which would normally fall under the prevue of the Branch Controller if/when they are unavailable. Coordinate any workflow accordingly, including obtaining pre-approval for any overtime that may become necessary to maintain normal work flow of the AP office staff.


• Other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

• This is a 40 hour per week position depending on work load.  Overtime may be required.


• Selectee will be required to complete a probationary or trial period.  During this time period, employee's conduct and performance will be monitored in order to determine if employee will be retained.

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen or have a valid Work Permit and Social Security Card.


• Must have a valid driver’s license.


• Must be willing and able to work overtime when required.
