ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST Further your Accounting career. The Hamister Group, Inc. is a Buffalo-based healthcare and hotel management company, and we have a tremendous Accounting opportunity for an individual with three plus years high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable to join a team whose culture is defined by collaborative communication, innovative leadership and winning attitudes. This position opening is due to promotion of a current co-worker, and reporting to the Healthcare business group Senior Accountant, specific duties include: Receive and verify invoices and requisitions Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures Prepare batches of invoices for data entry Enter invoices for payments Process backup reports after data entry Weekly check runs Maintain listing of accounts payables Assist in the 1099 process Process new vendor setup Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers Perform other accounting department duties and special projects Requirements: 3+ years experience in high-volume, full-cycle AP Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with MAS-90 accounting system is a strong plus, but knowledge in other systems such as Great Plains or Timberline is beneficial Detail-oriented and dependable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills General experience in accounting department operations Experience with Healthcare AP a strong plus, but not required Associates degree in Accounting or related field Non-degreed applicants with the abovementioned experience are encouraged to apply For more information on our team, please visit our website at Skype me at is or call me, Dan Kutis, Corporate Recruiter with inquiries at ext 316.
